33 Weeks/7 or Less To Go!

My picture this week was taken tonight and I really didn't feel so good. I'm in a lot of back pain and just wanted to hurry and put my pjs on! We also had to move it back to the foyer because there is so much stuff in Nicholas' room again! Ha! :-)

How big is Baby? 18 inches, 4.5 pounds. Size of a pineapple.
Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds (as of last week's appt, will know more next week).
Maternity clothes? All I wear.
Stretch marks? Not yet
Sleep: No longer in my vocabulary, getting harder and harder at night! I'm pretty sure I could take a nap in the mid afternoon though.
Best moment this week: Being showered by Michael's family and friends. We had another great shower. We are so blessed!
Movement: LOVING it! He is VERY active! He has taken up residence in my ribs and now he is ALWAYS up there! He also loves try to stretch out which is fine except it is right in my ribs.
Food cravings: Mexican food (not good for the old reflux!), fruit, veggies, and red meat.
Gender: It's A BOY!!!!!! Nicholas Allen Ledford.
Labor Signs: Things have changed in this category a little this week. I've been having backpain and contractions on and off all day for the past couple of days. They are never consistant enough to time, so my OB isn't worried. Who knows, he may make an early debut, but judging by how high he is still sitting, I don't think it will be that early.
Belly Button in or out? I can tell it is starting to move towards the outside. My laparoscopic scar at the base of my belly button that has always been on the inside is now on the outside (you can see it on my abdomen, not just inside my belly button anymore)! AH! It's getting smaller and flatter. However, it is basically still an innie.
What I am looking forward to: Next Thursday we get an ultrasound and we will get to see him again!!!!!!
Milestones: Making it another week!

A Day In The Park

We had yet ANOTHER shower yesterday (we are SO blessed!). This time it was with Michael's family and friends. It was at a park which was very nice and luckily very shaded in the 90 degree heat! It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of great things!

This sign was in the parking lot to direct guests to the pavilion. I thought it was ADORABLE! I'm going to put it on his door.
Melissa had us bring some baby pictures because we REALLY looked a like when we were babies. You'll never be able to look at Nicholas and decide who he looks like because we looked so much alike! Ha!
Michael must have taken this one for us
The hostesses, Michael's sister Melissa and his step mother Joy
This is the one thing Michael picked out and wanted for himself. He wanted a Recaro como convertible car seat for his car. It is the red and black one. Thanks to his dad and Joy!
I LOVED this onesie outfit! Michael is known as the "grill master" in his family, so Melissa got Nicholas this. I CANNOT wait to put this on him for our first cookout!
Isn't this too funny? Michael was listening to the "sounds of the womb" bear we got. Haha!

We were also very surprised to get our pack n play!!! Now, he can come! He has a place to sleep in our room and all the clothes he will ever need!

32 Weeks/8 or LESS To Go!

How big is Baby? 17.5 inches, 4 pounds. Size of a jicama.
Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds.
Maternity clothes? All I wear.
Stretch marks? Not yet
Sleep: No longer in my vocabulary, getting harder and harder at night! I'm pretty sure I could take a nap in the mid afternoon though.
Best moment this week: Family and friends celebrating Nicholas at two showers.
Labor Signs: not really, thank goodness!
Belly Button in or out? That's another thing. I can tell it is starting to move towards the outside. My laparoscopic scar at the base of my belly button that has always been on the inside is now on the outside (you can see it on my abdomen, not just inside my belly button anymore)! AH! It's getting smaller and flatter. However, it is basically still an innie.
What I am looking forward to: In two weeks we get an ultrasound and we will get to see him again!!!!!!
Milestones: Making it to 32 weeks!
I also went to my 32 week appt on Monday and everything is still looking great. However, due to my bone structure, spina bifida, and clotting disorder, it looks like I may be scheduled for a c-section on my due date. We will discuss that further when I go back on June 3.

Making Room for Baby

After the two showers this weekend we have had to do some SERIOUS making room for little Nicholas. My mom and I spent about three or four hours yesterday going through his gifts, organizing, washing, and setting up his room. Here is the before and the after...
I am LOVING my bedding! It was so worth the wait! I also couldn't wait to get his cool mobile on his bed, so that is why it is on there already in the first picture.
On that same note, as you know, we sold our BMW to get a larger, more family friendly mommy mobile. Well, look what is in my driveway!
Saturday while I was at the first shower Michael sent me a text and the mommy mobile had arrived!!!! I am loving it, although I haven't really got to drive it much yet. It had to have a few very minor things done before he is ready to give it to me, so hopefully those will get finished tomorrow. It is so pretty and I cannot believe how much room I have now!!!

Blessed By Family

Today was a wonderful day full of family and close family friends coming together to celebrate Nicholas! It was such a great shower and we are so blessed! We had close to thirty guests and Nicholas is close to being all set!

My mom and I
Three generations: my mom, Nana, and myself
The hostesses and I: my Aunt Kelly, cousin Koko, and cousin Lindsey
The drink table
The food table
I LOVED my cake! It was of course made by the Cake Boutique (which I LOVE)

That monogram just makes me happy!
Lindsey made this for us. There is so many awesome things inside of this cake!
Kelly painted these letters for his wall (trying to figure out exactly where I'll put them! Ha!)
We had both the baby food and the diaper game. They are so gross, but fun!
It was held at the clubhouse at the subdivision my Aunt Peggy lives in. Thank you so much, Peggy, for such a nice facility. It was PERFECT!
Nicholas is such a blessed little boy! This is the gift table right after we started opening gifts.
A view of my guests looking to see what cute stuff Nicholas got!
My Aunt Cathy handmade this and some other super cute things for us. I am so happy to have something handmade to pass down!
His coming home outfit from my Nana. It means so much to have something to keep forever from her. There was also a blanket included with his scripture on it, 1 Samuel 1:27.
My mom, Kelly, and Nana got our travel system for us! This thing has already logged a few miles on it just driving it around our house! I tried to get Spencer to take a little ride, but he wouldn't! Ha!
My cousin Katie and I (thanks for taking such good pics for me Katie!!!)
My BFF Lauren and I. So happy she was able to come. I know she is still tired from yesterday!
Michael came when we were almost finished opening gifts to help clean up and pack the car (which by the way, was the long awaited mommy mobile!!!! It arrived yesterday! More on that later).

My dad met us back at our house to pick up my mom (who rode with me) and to help unload. It was crazy how much stuff we have after two showers. I am overwhelmed at how loved our little boy is! He is such a lucky little boy! We still have one more shower with Michael's family next weekend, so I am taking tomorrow off for my 32 week appointment and for my mom and I to get his room somewhat organized (it is currently COVERED in bags and boxes!).

Thank you to Kelly, Koko, Peggy, and Lindsey for all the hard work and for providing such a wonderful place for the shower. I LOVED everything and had a great time!

Showered By Friends

Today was such a wonderful day! My best friends came together to celebrate baby Nicholas! My best friend Lauren spent so much time and did a fabulous job on the shower. It could not have been any better!
I LOVED my invitation! It was made by apieceofpope.blogspot.com and I think it was PERFECT!
We had most of the shower outside on Lauren's patio/deck. It was SO NICE, no rain until almost 5:30!
The table where we ate. She had the cutest table runner she made. It matched my bedding perfectly. I was super impressed, considering I can't sew a button!
Lauren made this diaper cake and I am sad to think about having to pull it apart. TOO CUTE!
Nicole made this one and I LOVE how she put his name on it! Again, do I have to take it apart?!
The cupcakes were precious and the cupcake toppers were too cute!

My mom and I
The hostesses, Lauren, Nicole, and I.
Our good friend from college, Brooke, me, and Lauren.

Tiffany and Nicole were sorority sisters of mine.
I was so happy Courtney could make it, but I missed her daughter, Lauren.
Michael's sister, Melissa and I.
Lauren Fletcher came all the way from Murfreesboro to share in our day. We've been friends since the early 1990s!
I LOVE this bucket that Courtney had painted for us! It is his new toy box!
I FINALLY got my bedding today from my parents! YAY! I'll post a pic this week of the finished product. I am VERY happy!
How cute is this monkey wastebasket.
Tiffany had this made for Nicholas.

It was such an amazing day! I have prayed for this day for so long and I can't believe it finally happened. I am so thankful for such wonderful friends. I am so blessed!

Round two of three showers will be tomorrow afternoon. This time it will be with my family and family friends. It should be a great shower as well!
