Nicholas, today is your one week birthday! Mommy cannot believe you are already a week old! You have brought such joy to our family and we love you so much!!!! You are FINALLY starting to wake up last night and today and we are so happy! You have mostly slept the previous six days. With the help of our new lactation consultant, you are starting to get the hang of breastfeeding, so hopefully the pump has been put up for a little while now.
Yesterday when we went to the pediatrician for the first time, you weighed 8 pounds and 4.8 ounces!!!! You have also grown a 1/4 inch!!!!! This is the nurse, she said she loves when new parents take pics at the office! Ha! She also said she has to have her pic made too! Our kind of nurse! Ha!
Your favorite activity seems to be either riding in the car or sitting in your boppy.
I'm afraid to type this, but you are sleeping well at night (other than our second night home). The past two nights you've only woke up once to eat! The only problem with that is that it gave mommy a clogged milk duct this morning! Ouch!!!!
We cannot wait to see what this week brings. We love you so much, you have definitely completed our family!
