Pink Shoes and Happiness

After a busy week at work I decided to take a three day weekend (our office is open Good Friday) and spend Friday cleaning house and shopping with my mom. I forgot when I made those plans that Michael and I had to get our driver's licenses renewed! It seems like just yesterday, but five years ago Wednesday, we closed on our first house and moved across the state line to Georgia. For fun, I thought I'd show you a picture of our cute little first house. It was great, but we definitely would have been outgrowing it soon! (this was before we did some MAJOR landscaping)
It only took us about 15 minutes inside the DMV because we went right at 8:00 when they opened, but we were a little surprised to find out that you only get a paper, temporary license when you go with your permanent one in the mail in 4-6 weeks??? WHAT?! So next time I will get over having a new picture and just mail in the renewal form and pay $5 less and not have to worry about getting a temporary one. CRAZY!

I cleaned my house the rest of the morning (thanks mom for helping) then I went to the mall to try to find some shoes for Easter and pick up some perfume since I was out. I ended up finding the cutest shoes ever!
For my perfume choice I went back to an old favorite. I started wearing it when it very first came out in 1997 when I was a junior in high school and some of my very favorite memories of high school and college involved this fragrance. As in I distinctively remember spraying it on the morning of pledge day 1999 and thinking that it would be the happiest day of my life so far! (Seriously, I was obsessed with pledging ADPi, it was pitiful now that I look back, but I wouldn't change a thing! Ha!) The first Christmas after Michael and I met he bought me a bottle of Ralph Lauren Romance. I LOVED IT and said goodbye to my Happy. Well, after eight years, three other fragrances, I have returned to my first love, Happy! It is just so springy and fruity and what better fragrance to wear this summer on the happiest day I'll ever have...the day we meet Nicholas!
By the time I got home yesterday I was worn out! So, I am posting today while I wait for carrot cake to cook for cake balls and eggs to boil for deviled eggs for tomorrow! Hope everyone has a great Easter and remembers why we are celebrating that day.

"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day" 1 Cor. 15
